Children’s Book Swap

The Children’s Book Swap is an annual event usually held in the spring at the Mooresville Public Library. Children are able to swap books that they have outgrown with age appropriate books. Families drop off infant, toddler, children and young adult books the week prior to the sale. For each book dropped off, the child receives one ticket that can be exchanged for a new-to-them book at the Saturday Swap. The Swap is the perfect time to update a child’s library.

The next book swap will held the week of April 24th, 2023.

We will collect books Monday – Thursday, 5-7 PM and Friday, 3-5 PM at the Main Street Library. No books will be accepted on the day of the swap, April 29th. Books will be collected in the lower level of the library. Please note only children’s and young adult books will be accepted. No text books will be accepted. The library staff is unable to accept books for the swap during the day. If your children are no longer in this age group, please consider dropping off your children’s and young adult books so that others in the community can benefit.

The Saturday Swap will be held in the lower level of the library from 10:30-noon on Saturday, April 29th. Please plan to arrive at 10:30 AM as books go fast. Remember, the swap is first come first serve. No library books are allowed in the swap room.

We will also be signing up new members at the event. All new members will be eligible for a special gift.

Thank you to our corporate sponsor, whose donation allowed us to purchase extra books for the swap:
