In 2024 the Friends will be focused on raising funds to support the installation of an interactive unit (see below) in the Children’s space in the lower level at the Main Street Library. In addition to our fundraising from used books sales, we are accepting restricted donations to support this project. The total cost is estimated at $15,000. Please see the link below to donate. Our Mobile Magnetic Ball Wall and Lego Wall, with its double-sided cart and convenient lockable wheels, takes the excitement learning and play to a whole new level.  With magnetic tracks, chutes, tubes, spinners, and other features, guests can create their own giant configurations on robust magnetic surface and learn about concepts like potential and kinetic energy, friction, inertia, and gravity in a fun and engaging way.  There is plenty of room for multiple Lego builders to work on their creations at once and store extra bricks in the storage catches. This exhibit requires no power and can be cleaned when needed.
