Race City Readers Book Club

Join the Friends and local businesses as they launch a new approach to book clubs on September 23rd at 6:00 pm at the Refillery on Broad Street Mooresville. The Refillery will provide snacks and share their business focus. Afterwards the Friends will lead a book discussion on the two books selected by the Refillery. These books are available at Mooresville Public Library and Fred and June’s bookstore. You can also join us for the discussion regardless of if you’ve read either book or not!

Friends Annual Meeting

The 2024 Annual meeting was held on Saturday February 3rd at the West Branch. We elected three new board members (Elizabeth Tadvick, Colleen Stark, and Jeanne Swecker) to three year terms. Director Marian Lytle provided an outlook for new things coming to the Library. Board member Virginia Tadvick provided and overview of the accomplishments of the Friends with a particular focus on the West Branch given the funding provided for equipment ($10,000) and the wall mural ($2250) since the Branch opened in October 2022.
